When you’re facing a crisis, remember what Jesus said to His disciples in John 14:1, the night before His crucifixion: “Let not your heart be troubled.” Imagine what it would have been like to be one of Jesus’ disciples at the end. They watched as He was arrested, beaten, and crucified. All of their hopes and dreams were rooted in Him, and now He was dead and seemingly defeated. The disciples were facing a crisis that none of us will ever endure, yet what did Jesus say? “Let not your heart be troubled.” That statement is the first step in Christian first aid. When a crisis comes, and it will, reach for the first-aid kit, and let not your heart be troubled.
 

Most Christians believe that God, in His sovereignty, does what He wants on earth. Is that true, or is it possible that He has limited Himself by His own words. If He has, then may be the only limits in your life have been placed there by you.

MOSES: The reluctant leader who became a friend of God and led the nation of Israel out of slavery. He stayed faithful when everyone else rebelled and met with God face to face. Moses shows us how to balance boldness and humility when following God’s call on our life. ABRAHAM: Our father of faith, or was he? Our true ancestor who walked in faith with the unknown God, with no example to follow, on a path that had never been walked before; the journey from idol worshipper to man of faith. JOSEPH: Called in his youth, Joseph heard from God and despite his circumstances, his servant heart knew that God would not let him down. David was the leader who was truly human with high spots and low spots just like the rest of us. He shows us that it is our availability not our ability that enables us to accomplish great things with God.

His Word is the most powerful thing on earth and in heaven. It is the absolute and infallible truth. His Word never changes, and He never breaks His Word.
